Jeff Wamboldt has represented the County Board’s 17th District since he was first elected in April 2016. He is a current member of the board’s Finance and Administration Committee, vice chairman of the Judiciary and Law Committee and a past member of the Public Works and Facilities Committee.
Wamboldt is a 27-year veteran of the Kenosha Police Department, now working in the Crime Prevention Unit. He has also served as a police field training officer, hostage negotiator and school resource officer. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
Wamboldt has served on the boards of the ELCA Outreach Center, the Kenosha County chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the Concerned Citizens Coalition, the ATOD (Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs) Coalition, the Mayor’s Youth Commission, Triad of Kenosha County and the Kenosha Dream Playground Project. He has also served on subcommittees for the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha and the Kenosha Unified School District, and is a member of the Kenosha Moose Lodge and the Danish Brotherhood.
Wamboldt and his wife, Debra, have two college-age children.
