A lifelong Kenoshan, Boyd Frederick has represented Kenosha’s west side on the County Board since 2010. He is currently chairman of the board’s Judiciary and Law Committee and was formerly chairman of the Legislative Committee. He is also a past member of the Wisconsin Counties Association Board of Directors.
Frederick is a former vice president of Haggarty Insurance and Financial Services and has worked as a staff member on several political campaigns. He is a former chairman of the Kenosha County Democratic Party and the 1st Congressional District Democratic Party, and a former secretary of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin.
In the community, he has served as a member of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Alumni Board, the Kenosha County Human Services Board, the Kenosha County Commission on Aging and Disability Services, and the board of directors of Garden of Eatin’-Kenosha. He has also been involved with Bristol Progress Days, and has volunteered with the Meals on Wheels program. He is a member of Unity Masonic Lodge, having served as master in 2000, and currently serves as the lodge counselor. He is also a member of Wisconsin DeMolay Legion of Honor.
Frederick earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from UW-Parkside and a master’s of business administration from American Intercontinental University. He lives with his wife, Jennifer.
