  1. Family Caregiving in the Time of COVID-19: Understanding & Responding to Dementia-Related Behaviors

    June 11, 2020, 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM

Kenosha County Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) has partnered with the Alzheimer’s Association to provide an online Zoom discussion group for Family Caregivers on Thursday, June 11, 1-2:30 p.m. The Alzheimer’s Association will present the program, Understanding and Responding to Dementia-Related Behaviors. Behavior is a powerful form of communication and is one of the primary ways for people with dementia to communicate their needs and feelings as the ability to use language is lost. However, some behaviors can present real challenges for caregivers to manage. Join us to learn to decode behavioral messages, identify common behavior triggers, and learn strategies to help intervene with some of the most common behavioral challenges of Alzheimer’s disease. There will be an opportunity for questions and discussion, following the presentation. Registration is required. Once registered, you will receive connection instructions. Please call the ADRC at 262-605-6646.
