What do I do next?
If you are the legal next of kin of the deceased, the first step you must take is to select a funeral home to handle the funeral arrangements. You must notify the Funeral Director that the death is being investigated by the Kenosha County Medical Examiner’s Office (KCMEO). The funeral home should then make contact with the KCMEO so that we will know who to contact once the decedent’s body is ready for release.
