FoodShare

About the Program

FoodShare was created to help stop hunger and to improve nutrition and health. FoodShare helps low-income people and families to buy the food they need for good health. Each month, individuals and families across Wisconsin get help from FoodShare. They are people of all ages who have a job but have low incomes, are living on a small or fixed income, have lost their job, retired or are disabled and unable to work.

How to Apply

To learn more about FoodShare Wisconsin, visit their website. To find out whether you qualify for FoodShare or to submit an online application, visit the "Am I Eligible?" tool on the ACCESS website. You may also apply in person at the Kenosha County Job Center located at 8600 Sheridan Road or at the Kenosha County Center located at the corners of Highways 45 and 50.

Kenosha County and Racine County partnered together in 2012 to form WKRP, Wisconsin’s Kenosha Racine Partners. Together, WKRP provides their eligible families with a Call Center that operates:

  • Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Workers answer these phone calls live and make changes, process applications and renewals, answer questions, and provide information. The WKRP Call Center can be reached at 1-888-794-5820.
