Pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 59.20, candidates must be 18 years of age, a qualified elector and a resident of Kenosha County at the time of filing nomination papers. County Supervisors must also be residents of the district in which they are running.
As a candidate, you are responsible for familiarizing yourself with the election and campaign finance requirements that apply to your campaign, which you may obtain from either the Wisconsin Statutes or from your private attorney. You can obtain general information about elections from the Wisconsin Elections Commission and campaign finance from the Wisconsin Ethics Commission.
Information you receive from the County Clerk’s Office may not be interpreted as legal advice. It does not release you from your responsibility to comply with the law.
