Hidden in Plain Sight

Explore a mock teenager’s bedroom to see and identify hiding places and drug paraphernalia. Learn signs to look for that may indicate drug and alcohol use. Attendees will be given a designated amount of time to walk through the bedroom to explore and see if they can find all the hiding places. A prevention specialist will then walk through the bedroom with participants to explain what to look for, the current trends, sign and symptoms of drug and alcohol abuse, terminology/slang to listen for in an effort to help raise awareness. Local resources will be offered at the end of the program. This program is available to parents, grandparents, teachers, caregivers and anyone who works with teens.
