The Sheriff's Departments Deputy Friendly is Deputy Ray Rowe. Ray is a 14 year veteran of the Sheriff's Department and has been Deputy Friendly for over 8 years. Deputy Friendly teaches safety curriculum to grade school youth in county schools. This curriculum includes information about; pedestrian safety, school bus safety, gun safety, and stranger danger.

Deputy Rowe also teaches the Dare program to 6, 7, and 8th graders in county schools.
