How do I reserve a pavilion at a county park?
Contact the Parks Division Office at 262-857-1869 to check availability and to make a reservation. Rental fees for pavilions and picnic shelters are $70 per day for county residents and $90 for nonresidents.
Please note that we are not taking reservations for the pavilions at Petrifying Springs Park until further notice. Due to renovation and restoration projects at the park, we have no way to guarantee that there will be access to a pavilion weekdays or on weekends. How do I reserve a baseball/volleyball/tennis facility at a county park?
Contact the Parks Division Office at 262-857-1869 to check availability and to make a reservation.
Rental fees are as follows:
Baseball diamonds: $10 for every 2-hour block of time (2-hour minimum)
Volleyball courts: $10 for every 2-hour block of time (2-hour minimum)
Tennis courts: $10 for every 2-hour block of time (2-hour minimum)
Soccer fields: $10 for every 2-hour block of time (2-hour minimum)
If not previously reserved, these facilities can be used free of charge on a first come, first served basis.
Can I sign up my child(ren) for sports programs in the county parks?
Kenosha County Parks does not operate any youth sports programs. However, we are aware of organizations that offer soccer, baseball, and football programs in the county parks, and may be able to direct you. Please contact us at 262-857-1869.
What hours are the parks open?
Petrifying Springs, Fox River, Silver Lake, Old Settlers and Brighton Dale Parks are open from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Bristol Woods is open from 7:00 a.m. until dusk. All of these parks have gates and the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department locks the gates at closing time.
In 2012, the KD Park will open for limited use from May 5 through November 25. It will open daily, from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. For more information, please see KD Park.

Are the parks open all year long?
The six traditional parks are open 365 days a year.

The golf courses are open from about March through November, weather permitting.
Are dogs allowed in the parks?
Dogs are allowed in all County Parks as long as they are on a leash not longer than 10 feet. Owners must pick up after their dogs.
Dogs are NOT allowed in swimming areas at Silver Lake or Old Settlers Park.

The only boat launch in a County Park is located on Highway F in Fox River Park. There is a fee of $2.00 to launch a boat into the Fox River.
Is there a charge to get into the parks?
There is a charge to enter both Silver Lake and Old Settlers Park from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.
There is also an entry fee for the Kenosha County Off-Leash Dog Parks – dog owners may either pay a $2 daily fee, or purchase an annual tag for the dog parks at $20 for the first tag and $5 for each additional tag (up to three dogs per household). For non-county residents, the first dog tag costs $25, with $5 for each additional tag. For more information, visit the Kenosha County Dog Parks.
There are no other entry fees for Kenosha County Parks.
Is alcohol allowed in the parks?
Beer is allowed in the parks with the rental of a shelter building. A separate beer permit must be purchased at a cost of $35 per day.
NO ALCOHOL IS ALLOWED AT THE SWIM BEACH AREAS.
