Our Mission
The Division of Workforce Development provides services for low-income families, custodial and non-custodial parents and the general public at the Kenosha County Job Center/Human Services Building, the Kenosha County Center, and various other community based outstation sites. The Division of Workforce Development is divided into two key departments, Economic Support Agency and the Child Support Agency.
The Economic Support Agency administers local, state and federal public assistance programs including; Wisconsin Works (W-2), the Workforce Investment Act (WIA), Child Care Assistance, Medicaid/Badger Care Plus, Food Share and the Low Income Heating and Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP). Through the Kenosha County CARES and SHARES Programs, the division provides medical services, emergency shelter and food for indigent and homeless persons. To obtain Public Assistance Information online, visit www.access.wisconsin.gov.
The Child Support Agency works to establish paternity, child support orders, and the enforcement of those child support orders to ensure that all children within our County are supported by both of their biological parents.
